Dialysis Unit
Dialysis is a treatment that does some of the things done by healthy kidneys. It is needed when your own kidneys can no longer take care of your body's needs.
When your kidneys fail, dialysis keeps your body in balance by:
- Removing waste, salt and extra water to prevent them from building up in the body
- Keeping a safe level of certain chemicals in your blood, such as potassium, sodium and bicarbonate
- Helping to control blood pressure
Virology & Molecular Lab
Viruses are placed in their own kingdom and not included in plants, animals and bacteria. Viruses contain DNA or RNA as their genomic material which are pathogenic to human and plants. The genome of positive-sense single-stranded RNA viruses (+ssRNA) can serve as messenger RNA and directly translates into proteins. According to Baltimore classification it is classified under group IV which possesses a huge range of viral members. Several well known members are Chikungunya virus, Dengue virus, Hepatitis C virus, West Nile virus, Japanese encephalitis virus etc. Several outbreaks of these viruses across the world have caused serious attention of scientific community towards development of effective drugs to combat these pathogens.
Radiology
Radiology, also called diagnostic imaging, is a series of different tests that take pictures or images of various parts of the body. Many of these tests are unique in that they allow doctors to see inside the body. A number of different imaging exams can be used to provide this view, including X-ray, MRI, ultrasound, CT scan and PET scan.
Radiologists interpret a broad spectrum of diagnostic tests including x-rays, ultrasound, bone mineral densitometry, fluoroscopy, mammography, nuclear medicine, CT and MRI.
Installation of oxygen plants (PSA)
Oxygen is an essential medicine required at all levels of the health care system; only high quality, medical-grade oxygen should be given to patients. Pressure swing adsorption (PSA) oxygen generating plants are a source of medical-grade oxygen. This document provides technical specifications as the minimum requirements that a PSA Oxygen Plant must meet for use for the administration of medical-grade oxygen.
